Career Highlights: His combination of speed, power and elusiveness made Marshall Faulk one of the most exciting players in the game of football…Faulk was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011…In his 12-year NFL career, Faulk earned seven Pro Bowl invitations…He also earned First-Team All-Pro acclaim three times (1999, 2000, & 2001) and was a second-team All-Pro selection three times (1994, 1995, & 1998)…Faulk posted seven 1,000-yard rushing seasons, 38 100-yard rushing games, three 200-yard rushing games and eight 100-yard receiving games in his career...He was the first player in NFL history to gain 2,000 total yards in four consecutive seasons (1998-2001)...In seven seasons with the St. Louis Rams, he set the team record for touchdowns (84) and gained 11,030 yards…Faulk retired as the NFL’s ninth-ranked rusher of all-time with 12,279 yards and 100 touchdowns…He also added 767 career receptions, which ranked 16th all-time, for 6,875 yards and 36 touchdowns…His 19,154 yards from scrimmage was sixth all-time...He also recorded eight 100-yard receiving games in his 176-game career...Faulk led the Rams offense that went on to victory in Super Bowl XXXIV over the Tennessee Titans…Faulk also led the Rams to a 14-2 record in 2001-02 and played New England in Super Bowl XXXVI…In 2001 he led all NFL running backs with a combined 2,247 yards (1,382 rushing and 765 receiving) and scored an NFL best 21 touchdowns and 128 total points, even though he missed two games due to injury…Faulk earned Offensive Player of the Year honors three consecutive years (1999-2001) and finished second in NFL MVP voting to teammate Kurt Warner in 2001…He captured MVP honors in 2000…Faulk set a new standard for total yards from scrimmage in 1999 with 2,429 yards breaking the record previously held by Barry Sanders…Drafted second overall by the Indianapolis Colts, Faulk spent his first five seasons in the league there where in his rookie year he won both the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award and the Pro Bowl’s MVP Award…A three-time consensus All-American at San Diego State, he dedicated $500,000 to his foundation to help St. Louis children’s charities and also contributed $2,000 for every touchdown he scored to the Marshall Plan, the fundraising vehicle of his foundation…Faulk currently is an analyst for the NFL Network’s NFL Total Access, Thursday Night Football, and NFL GameDay Morning.
