South Tahoe Celebrity-Am

Kicking off the week of festivities is the Tahoe South Celebrity-Am, held on Tuesday. This event partners four amateurs with a celebrity from the field of stars in a test over Edgewood’s tournament tough layout.

Special Events Sponsored by Korbel

Each year, Korbel sponsors their Celebrity Players Champagne Spray-Off Competition adjacent to the 17th Hole at Edgewood Tahoe. The celebrity who "pops" the Korbel Champagne Cork the farthest wins!

Korbel's Hole-In-One/Closest to the Pin Challenge

On Friday immediately following open round action, the first Celebrity Player who aces the 155-yard Hole-In-One on the 17th Hole at Edgewood wins $250,000. Of the $250,000, half would be donated to the Lake Tahoe Community College Foundation, (www.ltcc.edu/programs) which funds scholarships for students. If no one makes an ace, the player who comes closest within two feet of the pin will win $25,000 with half going to the college foundation. If none of the golfers come within the two feet, the foundation will still be awarded $5,000 cash from Korbel.
