Career Highlights: Popular television personality John O’Hurley is best known for his portrayal of the dashing clothing cataloguer J. Peterman on the former NBC series “Seinfeld”…Recently O’Hurley financed the re-launch of The J. Peterman Company with the (real) John Peterman and thus became a joint owner of the reincarnated/real J. Peterman Company…O’Hurley also is recognized as the runner-up celebrity dancer in the first season of “Dancing with the Stars” (summer of 2005)…After fans complained O’Hurley was superior to ABC sop opera star Kelly Monaco, ABC broadcast the “grudge rematch” in September 2005 which O’Hurley and his dance partner won…In fall of 2006, O’Hurley became the fifth host of the popular game show “Family Feud”…He has served as the on-air host for NBC’s Thanksgiving Day special “The National Dog Show” since 2002…O’Hurley actively does voice work for popular children’s shows and videos including “SpongeBob Square Pants,” “Hey Arnold,” “The Mullets,” “Tarzan & Jane,” “Kim Possible,” Disney’s “The Legend of Tarzan” and “Buzz Lightyear of Star Command”…He served as host of The Great American Celebrity Spelling Bee and the Family Network series “Incredible Animals”…He also hosted the revival of “To Tell The Truth” in syndication…O’Hurley has starred in a popular series of commercials for Xerox, GCI and Progressive and has appeared on the ABC comedy “A Whole New Ball Game” and on the CBS show “Scorch”…His guest star appearances include “Murder She Wrote,” “Frasier,” “Living Single” and “Melrose Place”…He has also starred in several daytime dramas and television movies.
