Career Highlights: One of the premier receivers in NFL history, Tim Brown played 17 NFL seasons with the Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders (16 seasons) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (one season)… Brown ranks second all-time in NFL history with 14,734 receiving yards (trailing Jerry Rice)…He is the all-time Oakland leader in games played with 240…A nine-time Pro Bowl selection, Brown is only the third player in NFL history to catch 1,000 passes in a career (1,070) – along with Jerry Rice and Cris Carter…He scored 105 touchdowns during his career…He holds numerous Raiders records including receptions (1,070), receiving yards (14,734), all-purpose yards (19,431), punt returns (320), punt return yardage (3,272) and receiving touchdowns (99)…Brown ranks second all-time in NFL history with 14,734 receiving yards (trailing Jerry Rice)…He is the only Raider ever to score on pass receptions, rushing, kickoff returns and punt returns…He also holds the Raider record with nine straight 1,000 plus yards receiving in a season (1993-2001)…Brown holds NFL rookie-season record for most combined yards gained with 2,317 yards in 1988…He won the 1987 Heisman Trophy (first wide receiver to do so) as a senior at Notre Dame and also was a consensus All-America, United Press International and The Sporting News College Player of the Year…He ranked sixth in the NCAA in 1987 with 167.9 all-purpose yards per game…Brown broke school career records for receiving yards (2,493), kickoff return yards (1,613) and all-purpose yards (5,024)…He played in four bowl games during his college career (Aloha, Cotton, Japan and Hula bowls).
