Career Highlights: A young, rifle-armed quarterback with great mobility, Kyle Boller begins his sixth season with the Baltimore Ravens this fall… At the end of the 2007 season, Boller ranks as the Ravens franchise leader in passing yards (7,846), passing attempts (1,311) and passing completions (746)…Last season, Boller exchanged the starting quarterback position with former NFL co-MVP Steve McNair …In 2006, Boller had a back-up role, but stepped in for an injured McNair versus Cleveland in December and led the Ravens to victory with a 13-of-21, 238-yard and two-touchdown performance, one touchdown being the game winning 77-yard score to Demetrius Williams (the victory clinched a playoff berth) …Boller started nine games with Baltimore in 2005, throwing for 1,799 yards and 11 touchdowns… He started all 16 games in 2004, and set career highs, completing 258 of 464 passes for 2,559 yards with 13 touchdowns and 11 interceptions…He posted four games with quarterback ratings over 100, including a career-high 112.3 rating while going 18-of-34 for 219 yards, a career-high four touchdowns and no interceptions against the New York Giants on December 12, 2004…Selected by the Baltimore Ravens, 19th overall, in the first round of the 2003 NFL Draft, Boller started the first nine games his rookie season, before suffering a quadriceps muscle injury…He made his NFL debut at Pittsburgh on 9/7/03 where he completed 22 of 43 passes for 152 yards, one touchdown and one interception…He finished his rookie season connecting on 116 of 224 passes for 1,260 yards, seven touchdowns and nine interceptions…A three-year starter at the University of California, Boller completed 622 of 1,301 passes for 7,980 yards and 64 touchdowns…He gained 7,811 yards in total offense, the second best total in school history behind Troy Taylor (8,236 yards)…Named California State Player of the Year after an incredible 1998 season at Hart High School (Newhall, Calif.), he passed for an all-time state best 4,838 yards and threw for 59 touchdowns, the second-best mark in California history.
