Career Highlights:  One of Hollywood’s busiest character actors, Anthony Anderson had a supporting role in the Best Picture Academy Award-winning film “The Departed”…He also recently starred in the live-action “Transformers” film, based on the 1980s cartoon …Anderson received critically-acclaimed reviews for his role as criminal Antwon Mitchell in the FX television series “The Shield”…He joined the cast of “Law and Order” this spring after a regular television role in the FOX police drama K-Ville…In 2007, Anderson was also a stand-out emcee on a number of episodes of “It’s Showtime at the Apollo”… Anderson’s other film credits include “King’s Ransom,”  “Hustle and Flow,” “Romeo Must Die,” “Scary Movie 3,” “Scary Movie 4,” “Kangaroo Jack,” “Hoodwinked” and “Barbershop”…Anderson created and starred in the WB Network show “All About the Anderson’s,” which is loosely based on his life … His first regular acting role was on the NBC series “Hang Time”…Earlier roles also included guest stints on “NYPD Blue,” “J.A.G.” and “Ally McBeal”…Anderson attended the Los Angeles High School for the Performing Arts and also studied arts at Howard University …He is married to his college girlfriend, Alvina Stewart and together they created the Anthony and Alvina Anderson Charitable Support Foundation.
